The rooms are spacious and clean, with none of the paint-peeling scuffed carpet features that plague older 5-star hotels in Taiwan like Farglory Hualien and Howard Kenting. While the city views aren’t anything to phone home about, unlike the Humble House Taipei, they’re interesting enough that people watching is a solid activity during rush hour.
Other amenities that I recommend enjoying at the Jasper Young Hotel Banqiao include the 17th floor SPA (hot spring and hot stone massage), which hotel guests receive a discounted price (for two people) for.
While the hotel features three restaurants, the Jasper Young Hotel Banqiao breakfast is actually served by the downstairs Louisa Coffee, a life-saver for any coffee and snack runs you’ll need during your stay. There’s also a convenience store across the street from the lobby.
