10 Most Popular Restaurant Chains: Dubu House Korea

Korean food is immensely popular throughout Taiwan, and no chain has quite the following like Dubu House Korea. Located in shopping malls across the country – mostly in big chains like Breeze and Mitsukoshi – this restaurant highlights the very best of Korean cuisine. With quiet sophistication that exudes comfort, Dubu House is a delicious experience for all.

Established in 2008, the continuous pride of Dubu House Korea is its tofu. Using only natural ingredients and seasonings and non-genetically modified soybeans, this tofu has a uniquely “rich, mellow, and fragrant” flavour. Even if you don’t order it, customers get complimentary and unlimited tofu pudding at the end of the meal. There is also complimentary and unlimited sides available throughout, along with barley tea.

If you’re not a big fan of tofu, don’t worry. There plenty of other dishes to enjoy. With seafood, meat, and vegetable dishes, including several desserts and snacks, this restaurant has something for everyone.

We’ve included some images below to whet your appetite.

Is Dubu House Korea Expensive?

Like all restaurants found in big-name shopping malls, the price ain’t cheap. Granted, it depends on what you order and how big your party is.

All in all, for two people you can expect to pay just over $1000, which isn’t too bad. At the time of writing, the conversion rate for that would equal to about $16 USD per person, which is fairly reasonable for filling up two hungry adults.

If you’re looking to save a bit more, it’s worth signing up as a member from their website. Sometimes there are promotions where members can get discounts or even free items. If interested, please be aware that the website is in Chinese, so you may want to get your translator handy.

Conclusion

I love Dubu House Korea, and I know you will to (but only if you happen to like Korean food, because if you don’t then you probably won’t enjoy this). It is, by far, one of the best chain restaurants to visit in Taiwan. There, I said it.

If you’re still not convinced, just watch that fried chicken with melty goodness again. I’m already salivating.
